Apres Vous

Synopsis: While running late to meet his girlfriend, restaurant worker Antoine (Auteuil) happens upon Louis (Garcia) in the middle of a suicide attempt.  He feels obliged to take Louis under his wing, which turns his own life upside down.

What can I say?   Inoffensive and quite watchable, this is a fun yet predictable, and sometimes slightly silly romantic French farce, with dark undertones as evidenced by Louis’ suicide attempt.  A good enough way to pass a couple of hours, I’ve seen a lot of films that aren’t this good but it is by no means my favourite French language film.

Score: 6/10
